Dr. Minde has a long history with Sokoine University of Agriculture, first arriving on its campus as a student in 1972. Since then, Dr. Minde has worked on many aspects of agricultural development in Africa, holding positions in the Tanzanian government, Sokoine University of Agriculture, sub-regional agricultural research organizations (ASARECA), and the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR) in IITA and later with ICRISAT as Principal Scientist and Head of the Diplomatic Mission in Zimbabwe. He then joined Michigan State University, where among others, is the Deputy Director of iAGRI. Within iAGRI Dr. Minde supervises research activities including competitive collaborative research grants and agricultural policy seminar series.
