Measuring Organizational Change

To measure and monitor organizational change at SUA, iAGRI has developed a 12 part indicator, which breaks down each of three stages described in iAGRI’s change model into practical steps as shown below. The stages and steps are arranged sequentially, so that conversations that matter mature into organizational experiments or study tours and eventually into changes that sustain. As this process evolves, iAGRI staff members put a check mark in the box for each step.

There are two major reasons for engaging in these transformative steps:

(1) to change mindsets within the organization by members participating in tangible changes; as a consequence of the internal changes, outsiders begin to change their expectations about the capabilities of the organization, and

(2) to effect actual, substantive changes in the structure, policies, processes, activities, outcomes, and impact of the organization.
