Monthly Leadership Forum
Experiment Status PageSummary
The MLF involves building the capacity of middle-level managers at SUA, including Deans, Directors and Heads of Department so that they can handle their responsibilities as the managers of their respective units. However, more importantly so that they can provide leadership to the transformation process that is being undertaken at SUA under the restructuring plan approved by the Council of SUA in 2014. It is assumed that there is no significant change that can take place within SUA, without close involvement of this cadre of leaders. This cadre is the one that will determine the success or failure of the restructuring process.
Current Status
The MLF has been conceived as a long term activity that will involve regular “Monthly Leadership Forums” whereby Deans, Directors and Heads of Department will be meeting once a month for a brief session of sharing lessons, experiences and also have an opportunity to learn about best practices in management and leadership. So far there have been two rounds of Monthly Leadership Forums and these are envisaged to continue for the coming months.
