Short Term Training

The Goal

iAGRI facilitates relevant short-term training workshops for higher learning in Tanzania to enable students, professors, government officials, and the private sector to better manage food security across the country. Here you will find presentation materials from past iAGRI-sponsored workshops.

Philosophically, the short-term trainings under iAGRI are to address existing skills and knowledge gaps and build capacity among iAGRI key stakeholders to accomplish the intended iAGRI objectives. The contents of such trainings therefore are directly or indirectly addressing agricultural productivity and food security issues in Tanzania, which is the main goal of iAGRI. Such short courses include training producers in a variety of best practices in productivity, post harvest management and linkages to the markets. Similarly, the short courses are meant to address researchers’ needs for mastering appropriate methodologies of research and improved capacity to handle and conduct various aspects of agricultural productivity and food security research. Basically the trainings are demand-driven by the stakeholders as well as informed by the training needs assessment exercises carried out from time to time.
